UV Ink Printing
1. For UV ink, yellow and red ultraviolet rays are generally easy to penetrate, while blue and black ultraviolet rays, especially black, are difficult to penetrate. Therefore, if the national language increases the printing concentration in order to improve the printing effect, it will result in poor hardening, ink erasing, poor adhesion, and even reverse sticking cylinder. Special attention is paid to the printing concentration of black ink in UV printing.
2. Among various substrates, there are also a small amount of substrates with poor adhesion, scratch resistance and bending adaptability to UV ink. In particular, synthetic paper and plastics have a wide variety of substrates, and there are also substrates that have been surface treated and untreated. Ink has different adhesion properties for various substrates. Therefore, it is very important to choose the substrate suitable for UV ink or the ink suitable for the substrate. Among UV inks, there are paper applications and plastic applications, and there are several types of UV inks for plastic applications. Be sure to test the tightness and other performance before use.
3. The use of UV ink or UV varnish may lead to general printing ink rollers. Blanket and resin sheet swelling, swelling serious will produce molting or code chipping, choose the appropriate or use the specified UV special blanket and resin plate is very important. Many UV ink suppliers will recommend a standard range, such as blanket color nitrification or butyl nitrification can be combined with oily ink, UV ink or varnish. The blanket made of EPDM material is especially suitable for UV ink and varnish, but it may not be suitable for general 0IL-BASED ink. EPDM blanket especially can not be used is refined and lotion, should buy special lotion. Similarly, the ink roller of the printing press is also selected according to this principle. UV ink and general oily ink cannot be exchanged frequently. If the ink needs to be changed, it must be cleaned very clean to remove all possible residual chemicals.
4. If the reflector is not installed, about 80% of the UV light does not act on the printed matter due to diffusion. Therefore, UV lamps must be installed to reflect the lampshade and focus on the direction of the printed matter. The importance of the reflector cannot be ignored. The reflector must be cleaned and maintained, and it is best to maintain the same function as the new one. Some paper powder chips or dusting dust attached to the reflector will affect the effect of UV lamp reflection. Generally, when the UV lamp is not in use, the UV lamp should be lit to prevent dust.
5. Compared with general oily ink, UV ink has narrow water spokes, especially when the ink is emulsified, the emulsified ink will accumulate on the ink roller, and will remain in the layout and cannot be thought of, and will become dirty and other printing failures. Moreover, at the beginning of printing, compared with oily ink, the supply of ink in the ink bucket is not very good, so there will be a tendency to open the ink bucket too much. The supply of ink on the way will gradually increase, and the excess ink on the printing press will emulsify the ink. So please pay special attention to the supply of ink and water.
6. Do not mix with oily ink. If it is necessary to mix with other kinds of ink, the fluidity, tightness, printing adaptability and solidification degree of the ink must be confirmed in advance. After UV gold and silver ink and UV general ink are mixed, the fluidity will deteriorate and solidify, the speed will increase, and the brilliance will become weak. Therefore, please do not store the mixed ink for a long time.
